Simple Slow-Cooker Chili*

2 lbs ground beef, browned and drained
1/2 cup dried minced onion or 1 large onion, chopped
1 large can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
2 cans (8 oz each) tomato puree
1 can (16 oz) kidney beans
1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
1 cup water
1 tsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Combine all ingredients in greased 4 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on high heat 2-3 hours or on low heat 4-6 hours. Makes 6-8 servings.
